Redding area nurses gathered to honor a colleague over the weekend. Alex Pretti, who was killed by immigration agents while protesting in Minneapolis, was an ICU nurse who worked for the Veterans Administration. Sunday’s vigil by hundreds of nurses and supporters at the Sundial Bridge was organized by “National Nurses United” and members of the California Nurses Association. They say they’re planning a weeklong series of actions.
