Redding Resident Among Winners In Statewide Snowplow Naming Contest

Winners have been announced for a snowplow naming contest sponsored by Caltrans. More than 3,000m Californians participated. The winner for District Two was Redding resident Scott Anderson with “The Big Leplowski”. That winning name was actually duplicated in two other districts. Other winners included “Buzz Iceclear”, “Pepe Leplow”, “Plowzilla” and “Darth Blader”. The winner in each district got a $50 gift card. The grand prize winner got an additional $100 card. That was Bay Area resident Scott Johnson, who came up with “The Snowtorious B.I.B.”.
