A heavy problem had to be solved in Trinity County Monday when a fully loaded Shasta Redi-Mix cement mixer truck overturned. It happened at 10:30 after a collision with a utility truck on Highway 3 north of Hayfork. The Redi-Mix driver was unconscious and was transported to Mercy Hospital with major injuries. The truck was leaking diesel, but it was contained to the roadway. The truck blocked the northbound lane, with one way traffic control in effect until a little after 4 o’clock, then the highway was fully closed until around 7:30 for the process of uprighting and recovering the truck.
