Registration has opened for non-profit organizations that want to participate in North State Giving Tuesday. The 14 hour event officially launches at 6AM on December 1st, but the window for donations always opens early. The day of philanthropy is administered by the Community Foundation of the North State. Last year the effort collected a more than $1.4 Million from 7,850 individual donations to 219 organizations, a little shy of the previous year’s record of more than $1.6 Million. This will be the 13th year for the event, officially held the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Non-profit organizations in Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, Modoc and Trinity Counties can register for the event and launch their own marketing at northstategives.org. The foundation is the money manager for many non-profit organizations, scholarships, foundations and causes, as they boast an extremely low overhead and a spotless reputation.
