Redding Electric Utility does not recommend, endorse or partner with any specific solar power company. Apparently local residents are getting false claims from companies saying they’re working with REU to install solar systems. If any customer wants to install solar power, REU will work with the contractor on interconnecting with the city equipment, but pricing and all other terms remain between the customer and whatever installer they choose. REU says anyone marketing solar power and claiming to be affiliated with the city is lying, and customers should call 339-7200.
