A new state-of-the-art cancer treatment facility opens in Redding at the start of next month. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday for the Sierra Pacific Regional Cancer Center off Hartnell next to the Cypress Avenue Bridge. The 40,000 square foot building is equipped with advanced technology to treat Mercy Medical Center’s many oncology patients, with the capacity for many more. Local donations total $11.6 Million so far. With major funding from Dignity Health and Common Spirit, it was done within it’s $80 Million budget.
