The Redding Police Special Services Unit focused on the east side of town for an intensive six hour sweep Wednesday. Officers contacted more than a hundred people, made 3 felony arrests and 60 misdemeanor arrests, wrote 31 citations, impounded 4 vehicles, and seized more than 10 shopping carts. 39-year-old Luke McBenge was contacted at the North Bechelli Dog Park and was found to be a fugitive from Colorado. He’ll be extradited.
