Redding Police believe alcohol was a factor in a crash in East Redding Sunday afternoon. Just after 1:30PM an eastbound Ford pickup on Rancho Road was going way too fast as it turned left onto Shasta View Drive. It crashed through a brick wall and landed upside down in the backyard of a homeT the driver was trapped in the cab and fuel was leaking when Redding Fire Personnel arrived. Special equipment was used to extricate 46-year-old Austin Garner of Oregon. He was transported To Mercy Hospital.
