Two people were cited as Redding Police did a minor decoy alcohol sting on Friday. It was a “Shoulder Tap” operation, which targets customers outside liquor and convenience stores. The underage decoy asked people if they would buy alcohol with the decoy’s money, telling them it was because of their age. The penalty is a minimum $1,000 fine and 24 hours community service. 18 people were contacted and two of them agreed to make the purchase. A third person refused, but was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
