Redding Police Graveyard Shift Patrol Officers did an early morning cleanup last Friday at the “Welcome to the City of Redding” sign on North Market Street at Lake Boulevard. A large accumulation of trash had built up there, including several abandoned shopping carts and even a car door. Concerned about the blight at such a symbolic location the officers borrowed the Community Work Program truck and tidied up the area around the sign, all before the break of dawn.
