A man from Burney is accused of causing an uproar in Downtown Redding by making a false report about a gun. RPD responded around 1:30PM Wednesday afternoon to Taste and See Creamery on Market Street because 34-year-old Dustin Sanders was holding the bathroom door closed and saying a man with a gun was inside. When officers arrived several people were running away. The man who was in the bathroom was in a nearby business unarmed, and no gun was found. He was released and Sanders was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of Methamphetamine.
