Redding Police conducted a minor alcohol sting Tuesday. It was a “Shoulder Tap” operation targeting customers outside liquor and convenience stores. The underage decoy asked people if they would buy alcohol with the decoy’s money, telling them it was because of age. Between 3PM and 8PM many were approached and not a single one agreed to make the purchase. The penalty for making such a purchase is a minimum $1,000 fine and 24 hours community service.
