There was a major injury crash at the south edge of Redding Friday afternoon. Just before 3PM a car left Canyon Road near Copper Drive and smashed into a tree. The driver, 25-year-old Troy Lyons Jr and the 31-year-old female passenger both suffered critical injuries. Redding Police Traffic Investigators say they found drugs in the wreckage, and they’re recommending DUI charges.
