A search continues for a man who’s been missing at Lake Shasta since a week ago. 22-year-old Maxziel Castro parked at the Lower Salt Creek Boat Launch around 6PM last Tuesday to go kayaking. The next morning his family reported him missing. Boating Safety Deputies found a partially submerged kayak, a paddle and some other items in the Salt Creek Inlet, and the search intensified with aircraft and drones. On Thursday sonar and divers were added and volunteers have assisted as well, but the search has not turned up any more sign of Castro.
