Tehama County Search and Rescue has helped locate a man in the Band Recreation Area. Around 8 O’clock Wednesday night a family member of an 80-year-old hiker contacted the Sheriff’s Office and said the man was overdue. His truck was found, with his cell phone still inside. Search and rescue personnel split up into teams to search the area and found the wayward hiker and his dog at around 11:30PM. They walked him back to safety and he was in good health.
