A campaign is underway for donations of children’s winter coats for local kids. Shasta County Child Support Services will give away the coats during a drive-through event on November 7th. New coats and jackets of all styles and sizes are needed, as well as monetary donations. After last year’s drive 203 kids were given new coats. Donations can be dropped off through October 30th at the Child Support Services Building on Park Marina Drive at Locust, Golden Valley Bank on Hemsted, Tri-Counties Bank locations, George Peterson Insurance on Bechelli, J’s Auto Repair on Charlanne or the UPS Store on Churn Creek.
