A story in the Sacramento Bee says Shasta County is in trouble with state elections officials for being late with a report last week about how many ballots remained to be counted. Shasta County Registrar Clint Curtis is quoted as saying the people in his office didn’t know how to make the report, adding that he doesn’t have log-ins to the system because he has a reputation as a programmer and a hacker. The report was due two days after the election but it wasn’t sent until Friday.
