The Shasta Gem and Mineral Society is will put on their annual free show this weekend at the Shasta District Fairgrounds in Anderson. It’s more than just rocks. The show will also feature kids activities, door prizes, demonstrations, exhibits, geode cutting, gems, crystals, finished jewelry, polished stones, fossils, gold panning, and more. The event is designed to appeal to everyone, not just geologists and rock hounds, and admission is free. I’ll take place 9AM to 5PM Saturday and 9AM to 4PM Sunday.
