Shouting Match Erupts During Public Comment Period At Supervisors Meeting

The public comment period during Tuesday’s Shasta County Board of Supervisors meeting degenerated into a shouting match as audience members began sniping at each other and throwing all etiquette to the wind. One of the agitators was Nathan Pinkney, who told the board that a statement he gave at the last regular meeting excoriating Patrick Jones had gotten more than 1.6 Million views on the Internet. Chairman Jones ended up clearing the chambers as he called for a recess to let everybody cool down. The meeting resumed after a while.
