A car took a wild ride Tuesday night in South Redding. A little before 6 O’clock the small car was speeding southbound on Highway 273 approaching Westwood Village when, for reasons that are unclear, it veered across the median and across the northbound lanes before becoming airborne and landing on the railroad tracks. Apparently nobody was injured, but train traffic had to be stopped for a while.
