Frozen turkeys and all the fixings to feed a thousand families are needed for Fridays “Stuff the Truck” food drive for the Good News Rescue Mission. The Cal Fresh delays have caused the mission to see a 30% increase in demand by families who are not homeless but are suffering food insecurity. The mission is asking for turkeys, cranberry sauce, boxed stuffing and mashed potatoes, canned veggies and yams, gravy, rolls and pudding cups. The food drive takes place from 7AM to 6PM at the Redding Walmart and the Save Mart on Churn Creek Road. Other ways to help the rescue mission can be found at gnrm.org.
