Sundial Riffle Raffle Raises $126,000 For Substance Abuse Prevention

$126,000 was distributed Thursday by the Redding East Rotary. It was every Penny of the money raised by those groups through the Sundial Riffle Raffle. Members of 26 different schools and youth groups sold tickets for the raffle, with all the money dedicated to substance abuse prevention and youth development programs in Shasta County. The Sundial Riffle Raffle replaced the Ducky Derby as the Redding East Rotary’s big fundraising drive for youth, bringing in more than $5 Million over 35 years. Just like last year, the top performing school was Mistletoe Elementary, which brought in over $26,000, led by top seller Liam Speer, who sold $1,045 worth of tickets. School and youth groups who participate for the first time are granted matching funds. Groups who want to get in on it this year can find details at sundialriffleraffle.com.
