Supervisor Plummer Pens Letter To Refute Majority Of Supervisors On Proposed Behavioral Health Center

A letter has been sent by Shasta County Supervisor Matt Plummer to refute a letter of opposition sent by a board majority opposing a behavioral health center. Both letters were sent to state health officials. Plummer and Supervisor Allen Long are still supporters of the project, with Plummer saying it would have a transformative effect on the county, dramatically improving mental health and public safety while reducing addiction and homelessness. It would be built using $150 Million of state funds and $50 Million provided by the private operator Signature Healthcare. Despite the letter of opposition, signature and local facilitator arch collaborative sent the grant application last week.
