Supervisors May Approve 250K In Opioid Settlements Funds To Help Drug Addicted Veterans

An organization that helps at-risk veterans may be given a funding grant during Tuesday’s Shasta County Board of Supervisors meeting. The county has already received a little over $14 Million of settlement money from the Opioid industry, with another $24.5 Million coming over the next 13 years. A good portion of that money needs to be spent on programs that specifically address correcting the damage done by Opioids. “Our Heroes Dreams” has requested $250,000 for treatment and recovery programs for drug addicted veterans.
