A Planning Commissioner may be removed Tuesday by the Shasta County Board of Supervisors. The controversial action was proposed at the last meeting by Supervisor Corkey Harmon, who wants to have Steve Kerns, a Biologist, replaced with Kevin Butler, a Civil Engineer. Harmon said Kerns wanted to step down, but Kerns apparently said that wasn’t true. Both Kerns and Butler worked on plans and assessments for the shooting range that Patrick Jones had proposed for Millville Plains. Supervisor Matt Plummer was not satisfied with the absence of reasons given for the change and asked to delay the vote. That’s now set for Tuesday.
