During Tuesday’s Shasta County Board of Supervisors meeting, Alan Long questioned a proposed four year renewal of the contract for County Counsel Joseph Lamour. The contract calls for a severance package of 18 months salary if Larmour is removed without cause. The annual salary is around $250,000. Long also says the contract was prepared by a subordinate of Larmour in his own department. Kevin Crye recused himself and the rest of the board voted 2 to 2, so it didn’t pass, apparently leaving the decision to the next board when it’s seated at the start of the year.
