Supervisors Will Hear Presentation On Funding 60-Bed Youth Mental Health Facility

An organization that wants to build an integrated behavioral health campus in Anderson will make a pitch for some county funding. The Family Dynamic Resource Center wants to build a 60-bed facility to care for youth experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. The FDRC has already been awarded nearly $25 Million from the State Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program, but they need to come up with 10% of that amount in matching funds. The land where the project would be built in the City of Anderson will be donated and it’s worth $550,000, so the FDRC still needs another $1.9 Million. During Tuesday’s Shasta County Board of Supervisors Meeting, a pitch will be made to draw that money from the Opioid Litigation Settlement Funds, of which the county has around $14 Million. The presentation to the board is sponsored by Supervisor Kevin Crye.
