Modoc County Sheriff’s Deputies shot someone Monday. They were investigating a report from a person who said they discovered a burglary in progress and fought with the suspect, suffering lacerations to their hand. The suspect was reported to have knives and a BB gun. Deputies arrived at the remote location, which has not been specified, and there was an officer-involved shooting. The suspect suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was flown to a hospital out of the area for treatment. No other details have been released. The investigation is being done by the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.
