A pot bust was done Tuesday by Tehama County Sheriff’s Detectives and Major Crimes Investigators in a remote area in the western part of the county. A search warrant was served at a property off Highway 36 in the Platina area. A garden with 323 growing cannabis plants was reportedly found, as well as six guns and multiple high-capacity magazines. Apparently two of the guns were defined as assault weapons, one of them with an illegally shortened barrel and another that was a “Ghost Gun” with no serial number. Two vehicles were also seized. Deputies say they caught the resident of the property, 57-year-old Yao Her, trying to run away. He was booked into jail.
