The Tehama-Glenn Unit of Cal Fire had a successfully uneventful 4th of July. They credit their pre-fourth education campaign and their extensive patrols for the fact that no fires were started by fireworks. They also want to warn people to carefully store any unused fireworks so children can’t access them.
About a half acre burned off Gilmore Road in Red Bluff Saturday night.
Thursday afternoon about a half acre burned near the cross of Highway 44 and Interstate 5.
