Trial dates have been set for a man accused of sexual activity with an adult confined in Shasta County Jail. 60-year-old Luis Sotero Navarro was a non-sworn employee who worked in the jail. The Sheriff’s Office learned of the alleged affair last August and detectives say they obtained evidence that corroborated the relationship. The Sheriff’s Office says the inmate’s identity will remain confidential. There’s a settlement conference June first and a jury trial set to begin July 7th. Navarro is not currently in custody.
