Two men from Humboldt County have been convicted in a double murder in Butte County in January. Samuel Ashley and Wesley Evans had traveled from Humboldt with Juan Solano and Esequiel Arellano, apparently to complete a transaction involving guns. The burned bodies of the victims were found in a car near the Butte County Town of Cherokee. Ashley and Evans were found guilty by a jury on Monday. Sentencing is set for January 9th. Both men face life in prison without the possibility of parole.
