Two People Stranded By High Water Rescued In Red Bluff

There are Flood Watches in some low-lying areas in Tehama and Glenn Counties after several inches of rain fell in some parts of Northern California on Tuesday. At around 11 O’clock Tuesday night the Tehama County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Swiftwater Team was called to the Sacramento River in Red Bluff. Two people and their two dogs were stranded in rising waters on Spider Island in the Antelope area. They were picked up and safely brought to shore without injury. The Bureau of Reclamation is gradually reducing the releases from Keswick Dam.
