On Tuesday the Board of Supervisors will receive a presentation from the UC Davis School of Medicine outlining their existing programs and partnerships in Shasta County, as well as the potential development of a regional branch campus in Redding. UC Davis already operates many programs focused on rural and undeserved communities, such as Rural Prime, Tribal Health Prime, and Rural ACE-PCP.
Also Tuesday, the Redding City Council will discuss the future of the Civic Auditorium under it’s current operator Advance Redding. The council will consider offering $80,000 a month in transition funding. A request for proposal will be discussed for other groups to take over the lease.
The Anderson City Council will further discuss the censure of Council Member Suzy Baugh. At a special meeting last week the motion was made to send the censure back to staff for changes to the wording.
