United Way Of Northern California Cuts Services As Revenue Drops

Leaders with United Way of Northern California say the nonprofit is facing financial challenges following a sharp drop in revenue. United Way of Northern California President and CEO Kalie Brisbon told KRCR that the organization has closed its Churn Creek Road office in Redding. Its Chico office is also expected to close this month as employees transition to remote work. Brisbon said the nonprofit has experienced a significant decline in revenue over the past year and a half. The nonprofit has also reduced staff and is reevaluating the services it can continue providing to the community. Among the nonprofit’s key programs are the 211 NorCal Helpline, free income tax assistance and disaster relief funding.
