Both Siskiyou County shooting suspects who had been at large have been captured in McCloud. Tuesday morning, Stephen Kristopher Robles and Leanne Elizabeth Varao were pulled over by a Siskiyou County Deputy in the Mount Shasta area. They reportedly fled the traffic stop and were chased while firing multiple rounds from a Shotgun at the pursuing deputy. None of the shots hit the deputy’s car, according to Sheriff Jeremiah Larue. The chase went into McCloud before the pair escaped on foot. Residents were told to shelter in their homes during the manhunt. Robles was captured Tuesday night by deputies in McCloud. Varao was captured yesterday.
