Redding Regional Airport officials have confirmed that flights between Redding and Burbank will end soon, and they’ve named a date. A representative of Trego-Dugan Aviation, which manages ground services for Avelo Airlines, spoke at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors Meeting and said his company is pulling out of California, leaving Avelo with no ground crew. So despite consistently high passenger loads on the low-cost flights, the service will be discontinued as of August 26th. Redding air travelers can still get to Los Angeles or San Francisco via United Airlines and Seattle on Alaska Airlines.
