A fire in the far southeast corner of Lassen County continues to grow. The “Bug Fire” started Saturday afternoon south of Hallelujah Junction. It’s now over 88,422 acres with 3% containment. There are a number of evacuation orders for both sides of the state line. Highway 395 is closed.
More evacuations have been ordered for the MP 18 Fire north of Hoopa, which has burned 3,623 acres in steep terrain and is 11% contained. Highway 96 remains closed.
