The Shasta County Coroners Office has released the name of a person who was found dead in a burning house west of Redding over the weekend. Cal-Fire/Shasta County Fire and Redding Fire assisted Shasta Fire Department at 9:30AM Saturday morning at a home off Highway 299 in Old Shasta. 76-year-old William Glen Forney was found dead inside the home. The Shasta Arson Task Force, which includes several fire and police agencies, says their investigation has so far turned up no suspicious circumstances.
