The process will move forward on a 12% boost in Redding Electric Utility rates, after a vote by the City Council Tuesday night. REU says it’s overdue, after the council canceled consideration of a proposal in March. An average residential customer will see their monthly bill go up about $10. A public hearing on the rate hike is set for November 17th. Before that there’s series of public workshops. Details are at cityofredding.gov/electricrates.
