A Palo Cedro based girls softball team will return home Sunday to a hero’s welcome. The Foothill Area Little League team won yet again Thursday, beating the Europe/Africa Team 5 to nothing. They’ll play at 1 O’clock Friday, taking on either Asia Pacific or Latin America. Saturday is the final game to decide the World Series Champion. On Sunday fans are invited to celebrate the team with a welcome home party at Whistlestop Park on Market Street. The team is expected to arrive at 3:30PM. That’ll be followed by an afterparty at the Public Market from 4PM to 7PM.
