Update: PSPS Event May Cut Power To Nearly 88,000 PG&E Customers

Tens of Thousands of PG&E customers have had their electricity turned off as part of a Public Safety Power Shutoff. The intentional outages will likely continue through Saturday due to elevated fire danger from dry and gusty conditions. Some parts of the San Joaquin Valley are under a Red Flag Warning. The utility had said the shutoff may affect as many as 88,000 customers in 29 counties. Currently there are 1,240 customers without electricity in Shasta County. There are only 2 in Tehama County but more than 3,100 in Butte County. The affected customers were notified prior to the shutoff. Current information is available at pge.com/pspupdates.
