Update: Public Health ID’s 5th Site With Possible Exposure To Measles

Another site has been identified by Shasta County Public Health that was visited by a measles patient during their 8 day contagious period. The unidentified patient remains in isolation to prevent the spread of the highly contagious disease. The new spot was an outdoor capture the flag event at Highland Neighborhood Park on Mill Valley Parkway January 23rd from Noon to 4PM. Next was Osaka Sushi on Churn Creek Road that evening from 6:30PM to 10PM, then a basketball game at Crosspointe Church on Hartnell Avenue the afternoon of the 24th and Costco that evening from 6:30PM to 9PM. The last stop was Churn Creek Health Care Clinic on Churn Creek Road the afternoon of the 28th. Anyone who may have crossed paths with the patient should call the Measles Hotline at 638-5580.
