The Redding City Council has decided on a temporary replacement for Michael Dacquisto, who retired early for medical concerns. His vacant council seat will be filled by voters in November. The race to complete the partial term will be different from the candidates running for the at-large open seats. In the interim the council has appointed Planning Commissioner Joshua Johnson.
