The Shasta County Board of Supervisors has approved purchasing a software subscription that eases public participation in meetings. Last year the State Legislature passed a law that requires counties with populations over 30,000 to find ways to facilitate remote participation by members of the public. On Tuesday the board voted unanimously to spend $192,000 over the next five years for the new software.
