A woman convicted of breaking elections laws in Colorado will not be working for the Shasta County Elections Office. Tina Peters was in charge of elections in Mesa County, Colorado until she allowed an outside computer tech to copy the county’s voter data and share it with Mike Lindell. Peters was convicted of 7 felony counts and sentenced to 9 years in prison. Her sentence was commuted by the Governor of Colorado after President Trump threatened to withhold federal funding from the state. Registrar of Voters Clint Curtis had said he wanted to hire Tina Peters. That was met with negativity from many local voices, as well as both of the state’s U.S. Senators and the Governor. A post on Peters’ social media account says she will not accept the job.
