It was an unlucky Friday the 13th for a wanted felon in Anderson. A multi-agency operation of police from Anderson, Redding CHP, and Shasta County Sheriff’, along with fire and medical and medical personal served a high risk warrant on the 1300 Block of Second Street, following a week long investigation. 47-year old Joshua Jordan had an active felony warrant out of Kern County and was possibly armed. Additional records checks revealed that Jordan had an extensive arrest and criminal history including firearm possession, felony resisting arrest, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, assault on a peace officer, felony evading, and numerous other serious charges. Jordan attempted to flee on foot into a wooded area but was dissuaded by the presence of numerous SWAT and law enforcement vehicles. Jordan fled into the residence but eventually surrendered without further incident. A search of the residence revealed a loaded pistol, Methamphetamine, and evidence indicative of drug sales. The items were located in the secluded area of the residence where Jordan had initially fled to prior to surrendering.
