A major crash involving multiple vehicles closed a stretch of Southbound Interstate 5 in Northern Shasta County on Tuesday evening, according to Caltrans. The CHP closed all southbound lanes between Salt Creek Road and Gilman Road near Lakehead. The CHP said officers were on scene directing traffic and working to clear the area.
