The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on a murder case. On June 8th a dead woman was found in the Klamath National Forest near Hawkinsville View Road by a passerby. Forensics led detectives to identify the deceased as 68-year-old Frankie Marie Keller of Seiad Valley. An autopsy showed she was killed by blunt force trauma. Detectives suspected Keller’s roommate, 39-year-old Elzie Jane Hernandez. She was arrested in Sacramento County on June 29th and is now in Siskiyou County Jail awaiting a preliminary hearing on August 14th. Officials have been unable to locate a next of kin for Keller and are seeking help from the public.
