A woman has been sent to prison for endangering her baby. Monica Rae White was driving with her 1-year-old child in her car when she broke down on a bridge. She got out holding the baby and when someone stopped to help her she placed the baby on the guardrail of the bridge. She had called her boyfriend and when he arrived with another woman, White became very upset and started yelling and walking into traffic with the baby in her arms, very nearly getting struck by passing vehicles. When the CHP got there and tested her blood alcohol level it showed almost three times the legal limit. White pled guilty to felony child abuse and DUI and has been sentenced to 2 years in state prison.
